PSU to open 9th campus in Alaminos

LINGAYEN–Pangasinan State University (PSU) is building its 9th campus in Alaminos City to serve more students in the province’s 1st district.

Dr. Victoriano Estira, PSU president, told The PUNCH the city government under Mayor Hernani Braganza has already finalized the programs to be implemented and the school administration has determined the initial courses to be offered.

The courses include hotel and restaurant management, tourism, education, agriculture, and fishery specialization to complement the existing fishery training center and research station in nearby Sual town.

The city council has approved the establishment of the PSU campus and provided P10 million for the construction of the building.

As counterpart, the PSU management will provide the faculty, basic facilities and support for the school’s maintenance.

An initial 500 students can be accommodated upon opening.

A student will be entitled to a subsidized tuition fee rate is P100 per unit and will only pay P1,000 in miscellaneous fees per semester. #
