Schools need security

Back to school for the pupils throughout the land. First thing people need to do is to visit the public schools and maybe do something what the government does not stupidly do. What is the use of donating toilet facilities, books, and computers if the schools are not secure? One school I visited had its electrical wires stolen and my inquiry lead to – where is the security? The answer was “no funds”.
Comprehensive solutions are required even before the private sector could lend a helping hand. All levels must have their say, from the residents near the schools to the management of the schools, to barangay officials, city and national DepEd representatives.
