Needed: Highest form of public service

On the assassination of the lady barangay kapitan:
Pangasinenses thought that by having a governor who was a highly decorated former police officer will result in peace and order. Most of them also thought that the issuance of shotguns to each barangay kapitan is a good program.
The reasons why these guns-for-hire are proliferating and are very confident with what they do is because they know that the majority of the police are inutile, corrupt, greedy, and can be bought with the right price.
The same is true with the corrupt trapos who are always talking (bola-bola) about the BS world class police stations, etc, etc, but the criminals are not deterred, instead they are becoming bolder and bolder in committing their crimes. The Filipinos also thought that GMA who is an economist will be able to lessen corruption, instead the Philippines became the most corrupt nation.
As I have said in previous postings, what is needed to solve the ills is the execution of the highest form of public service.
