A more dangerous type of pollution

Regarding the pollutions cited recently by Ms. Lomibao, I do not think there is enough money to stop the yearly floodings.
Several factors come into play to stop the floods. 1. Dagupan is only one meter above sea level. 2. The entire sewage system that was damaged by the earthquake has never been fixed. It would take a major undertaking which the city could never afford to repair the sewage system. The stench that reek from these damaged sewers and the pollution coming from them are health hazards but there are no quick fixes.
Although the pollutions cited by Ms. Lomibao are important, there is another type of pollution that is potentially more dangerous which the governments of Dagupan and the surrounding towns seem to be overlooking.
Many pigs are being raised without the proper sanitation system for the disposal of pig waste. I have seen these wastes flowing down a stream to a fish pond. Recently 500 pigs were destroyed because of ebola contamination. The mayors and city dads should crack down on these “pig farmers” before there is a major ebola, typhoid, or other serious epidemic outbreak.
