Former Congressman Jefferson of Louisiana, videotaped taking $100K, is still not prosecuted. Obama receiving payback from Tony Resco, elected president. I could go on and on. Politicians and easy money go hand and hand. I don’t think there is a politician anywhere who on judgment day could look St. Peter in the eye when he reaches the pearly gate and say that power and money, be it dollars, pesos, yen or euro, did not motivate their decision to go into politics. How many politicians are worth less than a million?

Instead of dwelling on what’s bad about the Philippines, think of what is good about it and try to make it better. There are many things you can do to make your barangay better or at least bring some happiness. Think positive. Try it you might enjoy it.
