Kabaleyan Bernie,
The difficulties our generation are facing do not keep me from shouting TGIF. Looking at history, our forebears suffered more. Just in recent past in America. my dad could not even get a job classification better than a steward. Now my cousins are officers in the same US Navy as doctor and operations officers. My kids are even better off in the private sector.
My grandkids could enroll in any school they set their eyes on. Reading the “Negosyo” book of Joey Conception even pointed to more Pinoys to look up to. After reading the book. I think every Pinoy should read it when he feels as you do.
Yes, the government and society may be as you described them but did we not rise from the worst colonialism of any country in the world?
Give it time and help our country where you can. Get involved in its small steps to progress. Besides feeling good we could all shout, Thank God I am TGIF.
