It’s difficult to be a proud Pinoy

I truly admire your patriotism. It’s becoming extremely difficult these days to be a proud Filipino. You can only accentuate the positive to some extent. But there are only few ‘positives’ that you can talk and be proud about.

Consider these: how can you be a proud ‘Pinoy when you see poverty and hopelessness around you and watch the government not doing anything to alleviate the pitiful conditions, when you see thousand upon thousands of unemployed university graduates, when you see mothers and fathers separated from their families to work abroad, when you see these OFW’s going thru the bureaucratic POEA difficulties, when you see politicians and government servants misusing the people’s money, when you see moral decadence, etc. etc.

My kababayan/kabaleyan, please tell me how I can be more positive, how I can shout to high heavens and say: TGIF.
