What S.O.P.?

The police was again in primetime TV yesterday showcasing their S.O.P., not adhering to the standard practice of arrest. According to the PNP it is their S.O.P. to follow the Miranda rule and when a lawyer is requested, one will be present with the accused.
So why was Falilon’s lawyer pushed aside on national TV pleading to the arresting officers to allow her to be with her clients as the accused were brutally shoved inside the police vehicles.
These images scare the tourist and eventually will be ingrained in minds of prospective investors. It shows the Philippines the land of authoritarian rule. PNP chief Versoza needs to ensure the basic primary responsibility of arrest to follow their own SOP.
