Re: Think about it

Mr. Jun Velasco, the PCE in his column reported about a certain Engineer Rey Mencias, an “irrigation Czar”(cono tan cuanda) overseeing the Agno River Irrigation System Project “following a modern method which will surely increase the crop yield a hundredfold”.

I checked the National Irrigation Administration website and it indicates that the expected increase is only from “36 to 50%” on the farmers’ income and there is no irrigation czar by that name, only Baraquio, Alangui and Macapulay. That is too much BOLA-BOLA, MR. PCE.

The NIA website also indicates Ph230,000 per hectare development cost which translates to a total project cost of a whopping Ph7,946,500,000.00 or about $170,000,000.

Dahil sa laki ng SOP, palagay ko may kumikiliti kay Czar para magbalita ng Papogi News. Alam natin na may budget para sa Papogi News, at walang bayad ang Bad New. Sabi ni TANAKA kay 007- “We have our sources Bond-san”.
