The Gaza Strip is not in Israel. It is a strip of land along the Mediterranean Sea bordered by Egypt and Israel. The UN does not recognize the Gaza Strip as belonging to any sovereign nation. It is under the control of the Palestine National Authority, and by extension, Hamas, the ruling political party in Palestine.
