2 arrested in Villasis bus stoning incident

VILLASIS–Two persons were arrested by the police within hours after they were identified by the driver and conductor to be behind another incident of bus stoning along the national highway in Pangasinan.

The Five Star bus was stoned in Barangay Bacag at about 10:40 p.m., September 19  while negotiating the MacArthur Highway.

The driver and conductor of the Five Star Bus with Plate No. AWA 8951, Oscar Ingloria and Daniel Meneses, respectively, proceeded to the the Villasis Police Station to report the incident.

They identified the perpetrators as two male persons riding a motorcycle with the driver wearing a yellow shirt with the marking number 4 in front.

Police personnel led by Chief Inspector Fernando Fernandez Jr,  together with the bus conductor motored to Barangay Bacag and caught up with two persons, one of whom was wearing a yellow t-shirt, standing by the highway beside a motorcycle.

The two were identified as Daryl Encomienda, 28, the motorcycle rider wearing a yellow t-shirt, and one Aevon Areky Perez, 30, resident of Tomana East, Rosales.

The two found themselves in deeper trouble when policemen found four sachets of suspected shabu from the sling bag of Encomienda and one Cal. 38 revolver with loaded with one bullet.

The estimated amount of damage incurred by the Five Star bus was P15,000.  (Leonardo Micua).
