Two HVI drug targets fall in Urdaneta, P500K of shabu seized

A drug buy-bust operation by joint police operatives in Barangay Paurido Dilan in Urdaneta City resulted in the arrest of  two high-value Individual (HVI) targets for illegal drugs on the night of May 2.

The suspects, who are still undergoing investigation as of this writing, were identified only as a 41-year old woman from Barangay San Pablo in Binalonan; and a male suspect, 43 years old from Barangay Pasileng, Binalonan.

Seized from them were 80 grams of suspected shabu with street value of P544,000.00   contained in 14  sealed plastic sachets.

The buy-bust operation was  conducted by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, the lead agency, personnel of the Regional Intelligence Division of PRO 1, Pangasinan Drug Enforcement Unit and  Urdaneta City Police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Also confiscated from the suspects were one genuine P1,000 bill,12 piles of  fake P1,000 bills, four smart phones and one tricycle.

P/Brigadier General Lou  Evangelista, Police  Regional Office 1 director, said the arrest of the two suspects underscores the unwavering commitment of the police to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs and other illegal activities.

“Hindi kami titigil sa pagpapaigting ng ating kampanya kontra ilegal na droga,” General Evangelista intoned.

Both suspects are now in police custody and will be charged for violation of RA9165  (Leonardo Micua)
