1 dead in Urdaneta road mishap

A motorcycle rider died, while five others were injured after a motorcycle collided with a tricycle loaded with passengers in Urdaneta City.

Police investigation showed victim Frederick Fabia, 23, resident of Zone 5, Nancamaliran West in Urdaneta City was riding his motorcycle along with a back rider Noli Sibayan Javier Jr., 21, when he tried to overtake from the opposite lane along Barangay Nancamaliran West and hit the tricycle driven by Emmanuel Torne, 49, with passengers Maricor Ballor, 36, Junior Idos, 36, and Myrna Sison, 44, head on.

This caused Fabia to be thrown off his motorcycle and hit the pavement, sustaining serious injuries in his body. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The others with minor injuries are recovering from the incident.

Dagupeños nabbed in Villasis drug bust ops

 TWO Dagupeños were arrested by authorities in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Nicolas, Villasis town.

Arrested were Marklyn Damasco Duca, 46, of Barangay Malued, Dagupan City, and Marco Alfonso de Guzman Terrado, 37, of Barangay Bonuan Gueset.

Authorities initially confiscated sachets of shabu weighing .51 grams with P3,536 street value but Terrado later yielded five more sachets of shabu in his possession, weighing 13.51 grams with P91,868 street value, and other shabu paraphernalia.

Cases were filed against the suspects for violating RA 9165.

Man stabbed to death by partner’s ex

 A 35-year-old man in Santa Barbara town died while undergoing treatment for fatal injuries he suffered from stabbing.

Victim Jeffrey Jose and partner Mary Rose Sarmiento, 35, both residents of Barangay Minien East, Santa Barbara were in their house sleeping when suspect Richard Quicho, 33, crept inside.

Sarmiento screamed on seeing Quicho with a knife who began to stab Jose. She tried to pacify Quicho but she too was stabbed in her hand.

 Quicho eventually escaped through the house’s backdoor but the police caught up with him and was taken into custody.  The couple was rushed to the hospital, where Jose later succumbed to his wounds. The suspect was identified by Sarmiento as her former partner.

Three stabbed over unpaid debt

 THREE individuals were stabbed in Santa Barbara town because of alleged unpaid debt.

The victims identified in the incident in Barangay Banaoang as Rocky Mamorno Ballesteros, 53, John Peter Ballesteros, 19, and Jason Mamorno, 32, all residents in the barangay..

The suspects were identified as Christian Villanueva Escobedo, 26, resident of Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City, and Micu Valles Embuscado, 19, of Barangay San Miguel in Calasiao.

Police investigation showed it started when Escobedo’s mother Luzviminda called saying she got into an argument with a certain William Mamorno about an unpaid debt.

Embuscado and Escobedo rushed to the crime scene on board a tricycle, where Escobedo and William, who were relatives of the victims, were having an argument.

The three victims tried to pacify both, but the situation turned awry and the suspects began stabbing the victims.

The victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment while the suspects were detained by the police.
