On “Stupid” God
“For a Christian country like Philippines, a topic about Jesus Christ is very sensitive. But, from the previous statement of the President of the country, Rodrigo Duterte, calling that God is stupid, rings all the bells of some religious personalities and many Christian people. I don’t actually call myself a very religious person, but I know who I believe and it is the Lord Jesus Christ. If the President himself doesn’t believe in the Lord and throws negative words against Him, that would be his own belief. It’s just that, uttering such words without considering the faith of many Christians is an act of insensitivity. Since he is playing the role of the leader of this country he should at least respect his constituents and their beliefs. I think he never has the right to say anything against the Lord. Instead, he should at least inspire his people to respect each other’s belief other than despising the faith of many Christians. Even before he claims his position, the Philippines is a Christian country already and he should keep that in his mind.”

Naipagtanggol niya sarili niya. Freedom of speech. Haha”

“Well, as what I understand is, tinutukoy niyang God is yung mga kulto siguro or those man-made stuffs.”

Siguro, may iba siyang kinikilalang Diyos? He doesn’t know what he is telling. God bless him”

“Hindi niya alam ang sinasabi niya! He is pointless! Tama bang tawaging stupid si God? It’s not right! ”
–Ruth Dizon, 20, Malued, Dagupan City
–Erika Joyce Martin, 18, student, San Fabian
Saan na yung una palang na sinabi nya na I care for my people?
