This letter is in reference to your news article entitled “No changes in TPLEX Phase III’s Original Plan-COJUANGCO PROPOSAL JUNKED” posted 6 September 2015.

I am writing to clarify some points during my dialogue with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodcasters sa Pilipinas (KBP) forum in Dagupan City. I felt it is necessary to avoid any misinterpretation.

The second part of the title (COJUANGCO PROPOSAL JUNKED) is the author’s conclusion and personal view and it did not emanate from me.

In paragraph 2, I did say that Section 3 (not Phase III) of TPLEX will proceed using the original alignment (not plan). I did not continue on to say “and not the revised alignment proposed by former Fifth District Congressman Cojuangco.”

Furthermore, in paragraph 6, on the completion of the TPLEX,  I quoted Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) original target completion date of 2018 and that DPWH will be revising it to December 2016.

As I write this clarification letter, the DPWH website will show us that  “proposed realignment from Pozorrubio to Rosario, La Union is being evaluated by the Independent Consultant.”
