Re: More facts
Tiburon,
Thanks for your pursuit of the truth and it sure were nice to know about the finer facts. But then Webster defines truth as, “a statement or idea that is true or accepted as true.” The “Untouchables” as FBI was a belief that most TV watcher believe to be true like me raised on the TV set but in reality as you pointed out (in your Wikipedia research I think because all your detailed facts look like the website article point by point) the difference between the finer difference of the treasury agent and Hoover’s Investigation bureau.
Even with the crime museum of FBI even displaying the “Untouchables.” I will now stand with the 1% of Americans that the Untouchables are not FBI. You are absolutely correct that the treasury agent lead was Elliot Ness with Kevin Costner but the most awarded in the movie was the Irish watchman Malone with Sean Connery winning the best supporting actor.
For a movie buff like me I only could remember the most admired actor because I may be losing the least or remembered ones. You even supported the fact that an accountant did Al in by the tax evasion charge. I know we both agree then that the #1 columnist of SP fantasy of stopping corruption and smuggling with Custom and Coast Guard by your detailed facts may be reaching for next vortex to rain on California and stop the typhoon in Philippines.
