Re: An appeal for the youth

To plea the youth, the church, the government, the businesses to help eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs, this top-of-the-line social problem, that cuts the Gordian Knot, the fabric that binds people together could be a hard nut to crack.

Time and again, these appeals asking these entities are not enough, becoming the lamest of approach, the weakest of solutions to have a shot at this … crack (shabu or meth) … already embedded in the psyche of today’s Pilipino youth.

THE ENCROACHMENT OF POLITICS . . .

The politicization of the Pinoy judicial system is much to blame, when these … drug lords … have a conduit inside this “supposedly” guardian of what’s right.

With all the announced arrests made, made only to the lowly drug soldier not the commander, it looked like nobody was convicted. It seems these special personas always fell through the wide-open cracks in the regional trial courts. ___ What a shame!

When judges are bought and sold in the public market like cattle, and justice has its price, the urgency to solve this drug menace comes to naught.

THE SOLUTION . . .

What this justice-forsaken-Pinoyland needs, is a China, Malaysia, and a Singapore, where illegal drug laws are so stringent, making the drug pusher/user blinks thrice to pursue this route on the pain of death.

Note: Just recently China executed two Pilipino illegal drug mules with pistol shots behind the head.

Unless, the Pinoy justice system is overhauled (which in all probability impossible to happen), this show of concern, this show of force, are only applicable before the TV cameras.

For all intents and purposes . . . it’s politics!
