Let’s shame them

Dear Ermin,
Thank you for the add.
I had been trying to send a message on the Forum but for some reason the computer system is not allowing me to.

I am not a Dagupeno myself but it makes me sick that everyone in the city government except Mayor Belen is really doing their job to take care of what needs to be done.
I had proposed in the past, through your paper, for the transparency in the city hall’s businesses, maybe even doing holding the meetings in the town plaza for the public to see where each council member’s stand on the issues at hand.

It is to this idea that I suggested the “We have not forgotten” feature on the Punch. Yet there seems to be the lack of “delicadeza” of the offending parties to mend their greedy and corrupt ways.
To this effect, I suggest to up the ante, why don’t we solicit funds and put up banners for everyone to see as people come to Dagupan? The banners would say or ask the questions to those of the offending  party “WHEN WILL YOU ACCOUNT FOR THE ________PESOS THAT WAS DISBURSED TO YOU, VICE MAYOR LIM? ETC, ETC….. Let us shame these bastards into correcting their ways.
I will be willing to donate some money for this endeavor.

Please allow me to make another suggestion for your paper: How about running a picture each day, a picture that reflects a day in the life of the Dagupeno…. maybe a vendor selling the most coveted Bonuan bangus, a fisherman landing his catch, a student on the way to one of the city’s colleges, etc…. In these days of the computer and the internet, it should be easy to do this.
Again, thank you for what you do. I and many others wish you and want to join you in your crusade against the corruption in Dagupan.
