Watching his “Her Highness”

One week here, mostly rain! Even if it rains every day I always enjoy my stays here.
Now to business.
The election is over and we have to get over it, whether we agree with the results or not. We thank former Mayor Lim for fixing many of the problems Al Fernandez left him with. Just to name just a few. The fish processing plant is in full operation. The seeds have been sown to let the world know that the BEST bangus is grown in Dagupan. New roads have been laid downtown. Regardless of what Her Highness claims about the MC Adore, she had better go back to school and review her knowledge of simple math.
The MCAdore was bought for 52 million and sold for 100 million, at a profit of 48 million. Also, during the flag ceremonies there is no need for the mayor to keep reminding the people that she is the mayor unless she is so insecure that she has to keep reminding herself that she is the mayor.
Now lets look at the future. The work to save lives in event of a tsunami has been halted. Her Highness has stopped the river tour boats. She has opposed and is trying to stop the sale of the MCAdore. Although jobs will be created with the building of an SM mall, she opposes it. That mall will not only provide jobs and taxes for the city but will also provide more competition and lower prices for the consumers. Why does the mayor oppose these projects? I can only think of one reason, money!
Her Highness has grand plans for her Eco-park project. When she proposed building a wall around her fish pens several years ago she said it was to, allegedly, protect her fish. I said I thought the real reason was so that she could eventually fill it in so that she would have prime river front property to build on. Has that happened? You be the judge.
Regarding the MCAdore. A first class hotel on the MCAdore property would take many pesos from her Eco-Park Hotel project. The free riverboat tours is also a project that would possibly make millions of dollars gained from tourists being charged and line the pockets of whomever restarts the tour boats in the future.
The proposed SM Mall could also take millions from the Fernandez CSI Malls. Regarding the Tsunami wall, should a tsunami occur, the blood of those killed will be on the hands of Her Highness. Her reasons for this killing this project is hard to fathom.
I hope for the good of the City I am wrong. If I am not wrong I hope the voters will be more informed in the future. I will be here for a while and I will be keeping my eyes and ears open.
(Editor’s Comment: Edwin, your facts are way off, completely skewed. The fish processing plant operations were stopped by Mr. Lim for over 10 months. When DA finally rejected his take-over plan, the plant resumed operations and is now earning for the city, finally. It lost revenues for over 10 months because of Mr. Lim. And you unabashedly want Mr. Lim to get credit for its viable operations today?
The MC Adore sale was rigged so he can sell the property 50% lower than what he sold his own property. The city was deprived of the other 50%. Guess who pocketed it.
The river cruise project was sabotaged by BSL’s Magic employees by towing away the boats a week after he disappeared, claiming these are the personal properties of BSL, not the city’s. Tourism Officer Rose T. Mejia, a BSL appointee can confirm this.
You can see more clearly if you’d only pull your head out of the ground, Edwin. Enjoy your vacation).
