Origin unknown?
I can’t believe it!
How in the world you missed it! What happened to you, Jun Velasco, the cells in your once productive brain dying by the millions?
I could not have, almost, won’t respond to your foolish inquiry asking who was the author of this quote, knowing it’s all over the internet, assuming you’re pulling my leg.
Nevertheless, to make it easier for you not to waste your time, and your gamble that some … doofus … like me will reply; here’s what you stupidly asked.
MAN OF THE HOUSE . . .
In his autobiography, the political legend former Speaker of the House … Thomas ‘Tip’ O’Neill … talked about the experience he encountered when he ran for the Cambridge, Massachusetts’ City Council.
” This was the only race I ever lost in my life, but in the process, I learned two extremely valuable lessons. During the campaign, my father had left me to my own devices, but when it was over, he pointed out that I had taken my own neighborhood for granted. He was right: I had received tremendous vote in the other sections of the city, but I hadn’t worked hard enough in my backyard. Let me tell you something I learned years ago, he said, ….. “ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL.”
But wait! … If you look deeply in this narrative, a problem may sneak out the Irish pudding; “Was he Tip O’Neill or his father should be attributed this quotation?”
THE IMPLICATION – ITS MEANING AS KNOWN . . .
This is the ground rule, the ongoing principle in democratic politics. Thus, success in politics is Siamese-twins-like tied to the problems, issues of the constituents.
Politicians – to achieved the ends of politics – should address the trivialities, the incorporeal, the personal concerns of the voters. So, the idea people are concerned first in the wiki-wiki of national politics, is blatantly misinformed -it starts at the lower level from the get-go.
WILL IT WORK IN LUCAO? . . .
Ely Quinto – the wonder boy of Pinoy political wizzle-wazzle, should look himself in the mirror, if he can win this high-flying position of … Kapitan … in this garbage-strewn-barangay of Lucao.
The way things are looking up, Ely Quinto, who never did an honest work in his life for the people of this barrio, couldn’t win if the baby Wyatt Earp of Mayor Belen … Lino Fernandez … should come back with guns blazing. “Blood is thicker than water.”
The Gonzlinger, is absolutely right! _____ Ely Quinto … shouldn’t stoop down this low, because a debacle of this teeny-weeny consequence will tarnish the embellishments built up around him all these years.
