If I am not mistaken the position of vice mayor was held by Mayor Belin Fernandez. Also, Councilor Maybelyn Fernandez was a member of the majority party during the last administration. I find it laughable that, if true, they are now finding out about the alleged over spending of Former Mayor Lim. The city ledgers are public records. The city council meetings are held to discuss matters concerning the city and its finances. Where have they been during the last several years? Oh, I know! Her Majesty was getting her picture taken at every opportunity she had. The Punch alone must have several tera-bytes of her pictures in storage. I guess with all her photo-ops she didn’t have time to take the city matters seriously.

Everything said by a new civic administration about the previous one has always been negative. I have yet to see a new administration praise the previous one. There have been many accomplishments and improvements brought about by Former Mayor Lim. None mentioned by Her Highness nor the Punch. One reason I go after Her Majesty is she has always been negative, never giving praise where one is due. In the U.S. Obama started his first inauguration portraying himself as a modern day caesar. In a way he has succeeded. Like Nero and the Roman Empire he ruled, Obama is slowly letting the U.S. go down in flames. Let us hope that Belen Fernandez doesn’t wreak the same kind of damage to Dagupan City.
