As weak as the Philippines is it still needs to stand up for it sovereignty. Reading the gunboat diplomacy of Commodore Perry in regard to Japan teaches a valuable lesson. Japan stood tall while the Philippine welcomed US with open arms and rest history. Japan was respected by Perry and Philippines changed masters from the Spanish to US. Let’s look at present day statistics China has 1500 ship while Philippines has 3 warships. The Philippines has propeller planes while China has thousand of jet powered planes. The Philippines has submerged buses during floods while China has well armed submarines. Let all pray for the brave souls now with burning patriotic fervor.
