Re: Editorial – Cleaning up Dagupan

The ship of Dagupan, is loaded with rats, roaches, bedbugs, snakes, leeches, and the time has finally arrived to rid this ship of unwanted occupants.

The ship is sinking! And what Mayor Belen will do to prevent it from happening, is to sweep them off the boat, all the hangers-on … the okoy-okoys, the onor-onors, the emergency (what emergency?) workers, the fly-by-night corruption consultants.

It would be a tough job for her, but with expertise and the willing Dagupenios to help, this Godzillan debacle created by … The Benjie (not-so-dead-yet) Lim … and his co-conspirators like the likes of Vlad (Bloody) Mata – is surmountable.

But, it will take time before the holes in this ship are plugged. To make an impression on this problem, it needs radical approach to cut the fat off the bone.

To stop the bleeding of this city, the vaunted projects already on the line should be disbanded, dispersed to the four winds not be seen again.

And to you … Mayor Belen Fernandez … damn the torpedoes, listen to your heart and mind – full speed ahead!
