Re: MC Adore buyer seeks intervention

Maybe, just maybe, Her Highness Belen will learn that she is not immortal when trying to throw her political weight around, in this case the sale and development and of the MC Adore Hotel. The sale of this property will mean jobs for many of the city’s unemployed and taxes for its coffers.

We must remember the Philippines is a REPUBLIC which means that the people elect representatives to run the business of governing according to constitutional laws, be it national or local, not by their political whims.

Many people do not know the difference between a Republic or a Democracy, In a democracy majority rules, period! In a Republic the majority rules ACCORDING TO LAWS CONSTITUTIONALLY ENACTED. In a democracy a majority of wolves would judge the fate of a sheep. Not so in a republic where laws must be followed. Let us hope that Her Highness remembers that she was elected to legally run the city for its people and not by her political ideology and wants.
