So what’s the big deal? The mayor leaves the city after filing his leave of absence with the Sangguniang Panlungsod on February 28 and just 20 minutes before its employees called it a day. Again, what’s the big deal.
The duty of the vice mayor is to take over he duties of the mayor when those duties cannot be performed by the mayor, period. If the mayor were to become incapacitated, be it by sickness or death or even when he goes on a trip to China, it is the duty of the vice mayor to take over.
If Her Highness Belen does not know this then she had better leave politics and tend to her duties at one of her oversized sari sari stores.
