It seems like Abraham Espejo – a self-proclaimed and self-serving … abogago de campanilla … is quite busy these days, when the rats and roaches of corruption in Pangasinan, who are accused of plunder and malfeasance went running, sweating, demanding and crying for his “knowledge” in criminal defense.
This is what he does best – defend the political thieves and every body in the practice of outlawry, who can throw a carload of moolah just having him dazzle the court, with legal gobbledygook, unsure he could deliver the goods.

The heat is on, and the accused go to Espejo, believing he has the legal moxie, despite the fact, he lost the biggest case of his career, when ex-con Erap Estrada, was convicted.
Here comes The Benjie, scared like a rabbit, shaking on his shoes, no control like he has an early signs of Alzheimer. And Espejo is ready for him, with files of documents he’s not to blame on the Awai debacle, but his co-conspirator Cuna, and the misused of calamity fund – The Benjie will blame City Administrator Vlad Mata, and throw him to the wolves.
Or, he can encourage The Benjie to plea insanity, that he was legally insane when these massive corruptions were happening.
His braggadocio during that conference at the PSU in Lingayen left me thinking deeply. I remembered quickly … Bruce Cutler … the infamous lawyer of John Gotti, the Teflon Don of the Gambino Crime Family, who was disqualified by a Federal Judge to represent Gotti, that prosecutors argued successfully, Cutler may have known the criminal activity of Gotti, and is accountable to be called as a witness.
Can the Omsbudman disqualify … Espejo … as lawyer for Pareng Spines, The Benjie, and the 15 know nothing, see nothing, hear nothing kapitans of Alaminos, that he’s liable to be called a witness, having knowledge of the corruption his clients are involved in?
THE SINE QUIBUS NON . . .
An obstreperous practitioner of the law like .. Espejo … where the meaningless defense, is always omnipresent, should be given a fine-toothed-comb because he might one day bit his tongue, and put Pareng Spines and The Benjie in a bind for their own destruction.
