Re: The illegal gambling Kahuna
With all the hubris he could muster, and his lapdogs – okoyokoys – running for cover … Pareng Spines … faced the music with head up high, his toupee flapping in the wind, “I am not a … Jueteng Lord.”
It was an attempt to deflect the poisoned arrows thrown at him, as if Pangasinenses are dumber-than-a-pile-of-rocks to not know, to not see the evolution of his birth, from the muddy fields of Bautista to the grandeur of Urduja – being born with dirt in his mouth.
The amount of wealth he acquired in too short a time … in wild abandon … could make the lowly Pangasinense shake his head, puke in disbelief, how a mediocre soldier, who never reached a star rank played the biggest political-go-rich-quick-shell-game in the annals of Pangasinan.
Von Neumann …. the acclaimed genius of a mathematician would make him a lightweight how to figure out … Pareng Spines’ net worth … basing on what he earned from the time he became an enforcer, to being elected governor, will not compensate even how you cook the books.
NIXON REVISITED . . .
“I am not a … JUETENG LORD”, is in-line with Tricky Dick’s – “I am not a crook speech”, he made on November 17, 1973 in a press conference, denying his entanglement with the Watergate break-in, and stated unequivocally he never made … tainted money … in public service.
The comparison … is a killer!
