Re: Pangasinan Bangus – a follow-up
By sheer coincidence, the touted tagged “Pangasinan Bangus” disappeared from the racks at Seafood City or any small Pinoy sari-sari store that markets this “awesome” delicacy.
BACK TO BASICS . . .
What’s supposed to be the dominance of the “Pangasinan Bangus” came to an abrupt end, when the lie concocted to cover up the smart-alecky Taiwanese bangus producers realized there’s nothing to hide.
The produce of Taiwan can compete with bangus or any marine produce coming out of Pangalatotland’s fishponds … fishnets … fish tanks … or any catch ravaged by red tide.
However, if ever a challenge comes forth from the brainless exporters of Dagupan, to gain a foothold in the American bangus market, they should show the sustenance of supply.
That’s why the Taiwanese maintains a steady pricing of their bangus @$1.99/lb. no fluctuation, which the sneaky Pinoy couldn’t handle.
