Re: Cache of firearms
Extremely unbelievable why a local Mayor Ernesto Balolong of Urbiztondo, has an arsenal of high-powered weapons stashed in his … underwear … to fight a small war.
The only purpose, that could be gleaned from this complete disregard of the law (a la Ampatuan), is to be used to intimidate opposing candidates or kill anybody who won’t bend to his political will.
How did he acquire/license such weaponry when it’s against the law – only the military – to hoard weapons of awesome firepower?
Even the lousy Pinoy military doesn’t have some of these guns at its disposal.
The Guns of San Sebastian . . .
Let’s see, if we can recognize these powerful weapons Mayor Balolong has on his fruit of the loom.
From the left going the right:
1) M1 Garand Rifle – .30 caliber WWII relic.
2) M16AR – Vietnam vintage still used by the Pinoy military.
3) AR15 – an improved version of the M16, and a top combat rifle. It can be equipped with a flash suppressor (the one on the picture has one) for silent killing semi-full. The magazine holds thirty (30) 5.56x45mm NATO, with 700-950 ROF.
4) Colt 1AR/SAW – the creme de la creme …. an infantry assault rifle/squad assault rifle used at times by the elite clandestine US Army DELTA … Navy SEALs … and the US Air Forces’ STS Squadron. It’s chambered to accept the standard 5.56x45mm NATO. The cyclic rate of fire – 700-1000 per minute. The clip is regular 30, but it can be upgraded.
The arsenal of democrazy . . .
What’s making everybody thinking and nervous: Is Mayor Balolong alone out of fifty(50) mayors of Pangalatotland? Who else are there in this wild, wild, west land of banditry?
If a lowly Mayor Of Urbiz can arm himself to the teeth; how about the mayors of Binalonan, Tayug, Malasiqui, Alaminos, Bayambang, Urdaneta, Mangatarem, Bolinao, Bautista, Mapandan and other gunslinging towns of ….. Pangalatotland.
Wait! I almost forgot … you too, Pareng Spines?
It could be a fantasy, but the proof is in the pudding.
