Re: Deretsahan – kawawang(poor) Madelaine
We can call this a heinous crime, where there was a premeditation to commit murder.
Everybody’s focused on the crime, that a young girl could be killed with impunity. That a young girl, in her budding life snuffed out of the promises ahead of her.
However, the reports coming out the woodwork, the assailant(s) are drug pushers who tried to collect on a drug debt, but went deadly wrong. That this dastardly act, was not related to problems of the heart.
Was Madeleine Goyena, a drug addict or probably a mule embedded in that high school’s population?
Truth be told, if this kid gave away sixteen (P16,000.00) pesos to the collector, how in this drug-ridden Dagupan, a kid this young possessed such a huge sum?
The possibility exists, the money exchanging hands behind school walls – typified the drug pusher went after her inside school grounds … which is a no-no … when Madeleine reneged on the payment due in a given time.
Who’s to blame . . .
Charge everybody: the government, the families, the teachers, of not paying attention to the growing drug addiction of kids.
But, the fight to eradicate this menace, is akin to jueteng. As long as there are buyers out there for these illegal drugs, it will flourish and nothing can stop it only if ….
The death penalty . . .
You are right on this one, Sr. Bebot. This deterrent should be brought back to curb capital crimes.
Never mind the ultra left wing loons who are always harping death penalty, is cruel and unusual punishment.
How about getting killed in a drug deals, premeditated murders? Are these also cruel and unusual punishments?
(Editor’s Comments: There is still no evidence or witness pointing to Madelaine’s death as drug related, or that she was into drug-dealing. Also, it was not she who was in debt but her friend, now in police custody, who was last seen with her. The suspicion merely is that the manner of her death could have only been perpetrated by assailant(s) under the influence of illegal drugs).
