How sexist the Punch sounds when writing about Bansalan, Davao del Norte Senior Insp. Milfrace Driz. I had always thought about an appointment to any position was based on qualification not gender. Political correctness instead of knowledge has led to the degradation of many services rendered by the city.
Imagine a 100-pound fire-woman trying to carry a person almost twice her weight out of a burning building or a pregnant policewoman trying to break up a fight. What can she do except wait for reinforcement after someone has be killed.
No, Mr. Garcia, you imply that should Mayor Lim be defeated a woman should be appointed as police chief. You are wrong! A person should be appointed because by qualification not gender.
Old Chinese saying say, “woman who fly upside down have crack up.”
