“Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez (second from right) goes into a huddle with six members of the ‘Magic 8’ in the Sangguniang Panlungsod whose votes could override the partial veto of Mayor Benjamin Lim of the approved 2012 budget.” If the word “magic” is changed to “obstructionist” the Punch would be more accurate. Her Highness Belen isn’t looking toward the welfare of the city, she is only looking to further her career and those of her fawning minions.

To me the word “magic” conjures images of the variety of spices found on the shelves of the Magic Markets. As a follower of the gastronomical arts, Magic is unsurpassed in the Dagupan-Mangaldan area in their selection of spices. CSI may be bigger but bigger isn’t always the better.
