Re: It’s about affordability
Tiburon, isn’t it the shark (Tiburon) who only prey on the weak. Put them in with a porpoise or an orca and the shark always turns tail and runs away.
Yes, I like my job. I am not a slave to anyone. If you hate your job, why not quit? No Guts? My job allows me the freedom to help others. As far as not being able to afford to retire. I can retire anytime. I own homes and property in two states, a Hummer, three other autos, a motor home and own three properties in the Philippines. How are you doing?
And, Pepingbonuan, I, too, deplore the way the Dept. of Education run the schools, especially the schools in the barangays. We, as individuals, can help alleviate some of problems. Whenever possible I send books to a school whose students are of mostly indigent families. There is no need to disclose which school I give to although. if Mr. Garcia wants confirmation I will give him the name of the school on condition of anonymity to the school and myself.
Right now, I have more more books awaiting shipment. The school is an elementary school and the books range from dictionaries, atlases, and storybooks such as Harry Potter and other books meant for students of the elementary level.
Please don’t take what I have written as bragging. I have nothing to brag about. I believe that it is our duty to help others when we can, if we can.
Oh, yes, Tiburon, don’t judge others as you judge yourself. When one’s head gets too big, the hat will fly off easily in the wind.
