All judges and court employees back Chief Justice Renato Corona. Could it be that these court members are afraid that they can no longer sit “in judgment” with impunity regardless of their rulings? As an old saying goes “cut off the head the rest of the body dies.”
Much of the court system (judges) renders their rulings based on how much money or influence the defendant possesses. If it learned that even the Supreme Court can’t play politics or line their pockets with gold, so much the better for the Philippines.
Then, I see that ALL six members of congress from Pangasinan are in favor of the Chief Justice being tried. The trial will show the innocence or guilt to Corona. Let Corona have his day in court to prove his guilt or innocence.
Also, the trial may show what the Chief Justice’s wife, Cristina Corona, does to warrant a monthly salary of P78,000.00 as head of the John Hay Management Corp. (JHMC.) Large corporations are constantly being sued. One has to wonder if being married to the Chief Justice is the reason that Cristina Corona receives such a large monthly stipend from JHMC.
