Not harassment

Harassment? No, Madam Vice Mayor. Your position as vice mayor does not exempt you or your family members from following the rules. There are many fishpens along the river and when food is thrown from the shore the fish swim to it. There is no need to build a pathway or levee to feed the fish.

Why don’t you tell the people what your ulterior motives are for trying to put a pathway (levee?) that will, on the long run, impede the flow of water, especially during heavy rain.

It would seem, to me, that having an area along the riverbank that already had a pathway (levee?) would be ideal in the future for building a home, restaurant or some other commercial riverside development. A strong “pathway (?)” built with reinforced concrete could be easily filled sometime in the future for purposes other than feeding her bangus.

When river cruises begin in earnest and tourists begin to flock into the city or when those who have access to private pleasure crafts, imagine how much money could be made by owning a riverside resort or a first class restaurant along the riverbank. I to think about it as my wife and I walked along the road across the river from Radio Bomba but I do not have the political clout or money to change environmental rules to even give it a serious thought.

I hope that the rules are not changed or bent to favor her Highness Mlle Fernandez. Let’s do everything to keep the rivers flowing and not bend the rules anyone.
