Altering the ecology

Re: Simply protecting their island
Mr. Ceralde, the Philippine brown snake isn’t the only non-indigenous creature that has caused havoc on the island. During WWII, when Guam was occupied by the Japanese, “garden” snail (escargot) was brought onto the island. The ecology of the island was so favorable to these creatures that they not only grew in numbers but also in size. After a rainfall the roads are filled with the snails and you take your life in your hands as you run over these slimy creature.
It doesn’t take much to alter the ecology of the land. Snakes and snails in Guam; mongoose in Hawaii; Northern Pike in the California rivers; etc, etc, etc.
