I’m glad to see that 2342 families received cash grants. What parameters were used to establish who would receive this money? Dagupan has over 150,000 people and 2300 needy people is just the tip of the iceberg.
Also, it would have been better if the money were given in the form of scrips or vouchers that could only be redeemed for food or medicine. Giving cash is like mana from heaven to users of liquor, drugs or cigarettes.
Hopefully, when another give-away is undertaken the grant is not in the form of cash.
