This is plain syndicate-ran and backed up by high profile personalities. Because of their strategic locations, Tayug and the cities of Urdaneta and Dagupan were selected distribution centers. The head of the syndicate remains untouchable although his identity is probably known to those ‘in the know’.
The arrest of the 21-year old suspect in a barangay almost two or three kilometers away from the heart of the city proper is not only disturbing but alarming because of unabated commission of crimes against person and property.
The suspect is the missing link at getting into the bottom of the case. It’s the call of the investigating arms of the government to do its share. His arrest is not stage-managed. They have to dig deeper until the big fish is unmasked.
The lead investigator worth his calling along with the different prosecuting arms of the government should work hand in hand at pinning down the masterminds. The investigation should be conducted with no hands akimbo because such posture has “meaningful” result.
With the suspect caught in “corpus delecti” there is no reason why the government prosecutor won’t score a homerun. They have to show to the unsuspecting public that they are also untouchables in ferreting out the truth.
