With all the environmental reasons, that affects this die-off, the most toxic, is hypoxia or DO (dissolve oxygen) in the water.
The blame game ….
Blaming the factors involved, is a non-issue, but blame the operators – mostly the greedy CHINESE – who financed this gargantuan operation.
Overstocking the pens to maximize profit the name of the game. Statistics show, as of three years ago, a die-off occurred at in the same location, but it brought nothing to curb the practice because if they can make money three-years-out-of-four, the threat of fish kill, is inconsequential. The Chinese could care less. The only victim of this vicious practice, are the lowly Pinoy workers who won’t get paid.
It will balance/pay by itself!
