Re: Mayor-bursar feud disrupts LGU operations

If the Bureau of Local Government Finance didn’t give due course to the five appeals of Urbiztondo Mayor Balolong for the replacement of Ms Cancino as the town’s treasurer, it may mean that the town’s chief executive has no leg to stand in charging the municipal bursar of incompetence.

The fact that the BLCF recognizes the incumbent as the duly designated (and still the municipal treasurer) is a warning to the mayor that his charge of incompetence will not hold water.

To prove that he meant business, he is contemplating to have a rally at the Department of Finance. He has all the right to do what he wants but this early, he has to stop this nonsense. His case will be remanded to the local BLCF who earlier sided with the incumbent.
