Re: The naysayers’ inherent fear
Edwin, that’s funny. You answered your own question with another question that you also don’t know the answer. That’s two questions in a row and both of them you certainly don’t know the answer.
How can you prove to us that you are an expert in nuclear power plant if you field questions that you yourself don’t know the answer? With your comments, you are just misleading other people.
What man builds always comes with imperfections. Period. Even with constant improvements, it might come close to perfection but will never be perfect. Nuclear power plants and the annually generated tons of used nuclear fuel, classified as high-level radioactive waste, will always be extremely dangerous to people and to our environment most especially if handled by inexperienced and incompetent people. With or without earthquakes and/or tsunami, improvements will never prevent another disaster. Never!
We know for a fact that earthquake and tsunami are not the only cause of nuclear disasters. Take for example the Chernobyl and Three Mile Island nuclear disasters. Unlike the nuclear power plant in Japan, these are not caused by earthquake and tsunami. Right?
