And so it goes on and on. The Mayor wants to deliver his state of the city address at the Dagupan City People’s Astrodome. Her Highness Madam Belen and her cohorts, the majority, on the city council refuse to give him courtesy of honoring his request.

Mayor Lim in his letter to the City Council dated February 2, 2011 stated that it “follows established precedents including last year’s, when my predecessor, former City Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. delivered a similar address before the Sangguniang Panlungsod (reportedly with that honorable body’s willing cooperation, coordination and hospitality).”

It seems to me that the vice mayor’s ego and personal hatred of the man who beat another Fernandez, is more important to her than the good of the city. The Mayor wants to give the address in a venue which would allow more people to hear him. Madam Belen is adamant in denying him his request. Is she afraid that in a larger venue more people will hear the truth of what is going on in the city?

Belen Fernandez is carrying her grudge against Mayor Lim to a dangerous level. Not only is she acting in a tyrannical manner but in doing so shows her to be infantile (and psychotic?) in nature, like a brat who wants her way or else!
