Re: General Admission

Mr. Mendoza

Please don’t let your political preferences interfere with your better judgment. Philippine politics has always been about name recognition not knowledge.

Example: The name Fernandez has been THE name in Dagupan politics since the second WWII. When has there been a city council without at least one Fernandez on it. The only reason that the Al Fernandez was defeated by Ben Lim was because Big Al was a do nothing mayor. The progress you see today in Dagupan today was brought about by Mayor Lim during his last administration. That progress will continue if the mayor is allowed to do what he was elected for.

Yes, Brian Lim may be a mouthpiece for his dad but what has Belen Fernandez been. I had perceived from the beginning that Belen Fernandez would be a thorn in the side of Ben Lim if Big Al lost his bid for reelection.

Belen Fernandez may be in favor of many social issues but these issues cannot be persued if there is no money to back them. Enter Ben Lim.

One of the jobs of the mayor is to entice business into the city. Without business’ behind you they will find other places to go. It takes tax money to run the social programs Belen Fernandez wants. Money doesn’t grow on trees. It grows through taxes on business. Only after you have money from business ventures can you impement the social programs needed.

Yes, Brian Lim may be a mouthpiece for his dad but Belen Fernandez was and continues to be an obstructionist by being the mouthpiece for Al Fernandez.
