An excellent recipe for corruption

Re: Who is the real mayor of Calasiao?
The comment seems to have a scintilla of truth, that the people are confused as to who really governs the city of Calasiao. The tandem, although it may seem good at the outset, there is a likelihood that the son and father will lock horns or be embroiled in a conflict of decisions. The son will have no clout. He is a puppet and will be as soft as the famous puto of Dinalaoan. Father reigns supreme, and his position as Vice Mayor is a mere title but barks the order, especially that he used to be the Mayor.
It’s a fatal combination electing the son as Mayor and the father as Vice Mayor. Although two heads are better than one, this is not the situation that calls for it. Their positions involve public trust and use of public funds. One protects the other through the use of their influence and power. And if this happens, abuse comes in and public service may get jeopardized at the expense of their constituents.
Like what happened to Tunisia lately and other countries, and even in the country, putting family members, relatives and friends in the seats of power is an excellent recipeĀ corruption.
