Re: Playing with Fire

Progress for whom? Progress for the rich. Progress for the few. While people continue to live in shacks without proper supply of water or sanitation.

I was shocked to see squatters building their homes by the beach. Is that a sign of progress? What Pangasinan needs is not more roads or malls. It needs to provide efficient public services.

First world countries are planning and building efficient transport systems while Pangasinan plans to build more roads for the polluting tricycles, jeepneys, and buses. Those who speak of malls as a sign of progress are not looking towards the future of the land and its people. They only look at their bank accounts.
