RE: Bangus industry back on its feet

I agree with what Mayor Lim is attempting to do. My thinking is along the same lines but another factor is the ‘outsiders’ using our market and reducing the price. This keeps on hurting us producers and it has to stop before it becomes no longer viable to produce fish.

We’re in Bonuan and yet when we go to the market, vendors say the fish are from Bonuan but really from the other side of Pangasinan or even farther. Some even came from Bataan a few weeks ago… they’re lying just to sell their fish.

How do we stop that? Can we get some sort of registration to enter the market? Can we get an official Dagupan or Bonuan stamp? Is there any seminar or meeting that we can attend to voice our opinion?
