Be careful with what you wish for,
 you may get it. Dagupan and its neighboring towns do not have the economic base to support the existence of SM without weakening the other malls, retailers, small business in Dagupan. They will compete against the same clients.

SM will bring more traffic to the congested streets of Dagupan. When the city was built years ago, they never envisioned that one day Dagupan will become a premiere city in the 
North. Makipot ang kalsada, limited ang parking space, ga-bundok ang basura etc.
 Ibig sabihin nito we will get stuck in the streets due to traffic
 mas maraming pollution.

Eventually you will wake up an hour earlier than usual, come home late another hour than usual just to be at work or school. aalis kayo sa bahay at natutulog pa ang mga anak ninyo at pag-uwi naman ay pagod na kayo o natutulog na sila. If you add this
 2 hrs a day/5days a week, napakaraming oras ito sa isang taon
 Would you rather spend quality time with your family or get stuck 
in traffic????

If ever that they build SM in
 Dagupan an alternative site should be 
at the junction of Dagupan and Calasiao where it will bring traffic out of Dagupan vs. bringing 
traffic into the city.
