Plan for the worst scenario

Re: Sual port construction starts
Hope the good progressive mayor of Sual, John Arcinue is taking notes of the Basyang effects; the coal spill in Batangas and the tanker collisions overturning and spilling oil in the waters of Mariveles Bataan.
Incidents like these should not happen because it’s the people who will pay for such tragic mistakes. They will think twice of having proper anchors in place and lookouts in place. This would include company president to the captains and mates on these ships.
Everyone should also look at mitigation plans in case a spill happens beyond human control. Like spill control resources and protocol in place to assist business in its recovery from economic disaster once the waters are poisoned by the oil or coal.
Progress is good but a plan for the worst should be in place beyond the rosy media releases.
