Not by bitching

Dr. Jeremias Andrade Carrera,

I have never at anytime said that the Philippines was free of corruption. In the Philippines it seems that the main goal of the politicians is to use their office as a means of enriching their pockets and the populace, by voting for political dynasties and name recognition, corruption can never be eradicated. Only educated voters can end the corruption. The only other alternative is by a benevolent autocratic ruler.

Dr. Carrera, if the situation in the Philippines is to be corrected, it is up to us to try to move the Philippines forward. This cannot be done by bitching about the corruption that exists.

If you can vote, vote for the candidates who offer the most for the country, not candidates who espouse a religious belief or one who may be running on the name on his dead parents.

Locally, how many of those in the city government holding elected office have the same last name. It seems quite a coincidence that they have the same last name as the first mayor of Dagupan installed after WWII.

Another means of improving the country is by investing in it. If you think there is also too much corruption by corporations, there are many opportunities for start-up businesses.

I hope that you, Dr. Carrera, as a person who probably holds a doctorate, must be investing in the Philippines. If a worker has a steady job the politicians will have less influence on that person and his family. That is how you stop corruption not by bitching about it.

I am in favor of all forms of energy. I am in favor of any form of energy that can be produced economically that can take the place of fossil fuel or nuclear power that is cost effective. Until that time comes we have to rely on what we have now, fossil fuel and nuclear power.
