Pangasinan-Zambales Road:

This road should be fully funded and completed instead of Nani’s Airport to complement the Sual Seaport and the existing perimeter highways.

If Nani is really sincere in serving the public good instead of his pocket, he must forget his impossible dreams, and implement the lacking tourism infrastructures in Alaminos such as “world class” sanitary and drainage facilities and utilities to attract and sustain more tourist to come without the airport. If there is no sanitary sewer and treatment system, the Hundred Islands will soon become like a cesspool.

First sign of pollution will be the “algal bloom” (dadami yong lumot sa beach) as a result of cesspools discharging (seeping) nitrogen-rich effluent into the beaches like what is slowly but surely happening in some parts of Boracay and happened long time ago in Dagupan.

Mr. Castanaga mentioned this phenomenon in one of his posting many years ago. Who likes to swim and eat the seafood in the Hundred Islands if it is practically contaminated with “human excreta” like Bonuan Beach?
